Project Life

I have always been a collector of memories, but not a scrapbooker. I prefer to keep cards, ticket stubs, notes and other knick-knacks in boxes in the closet. I go through them on occasion and love to think about the fun memory that prompted me to file it away.

This year, after seeing the Project Life scrapbook that my friend Jessica put together for 2009, I was inspired. I may be married to a photographer, but for some reason we have very few photos of ourselves and everyday life. Starting on January 1, we committed to taking at least one photo a day of whatever might be happening. At first, I questioned if we would have enough to take pictures of.. we work from home and have no kids or pets.. no one wants to see 365 pictures of us sitting at our computers! But, I've been surprised at the amount of things to document for this first week of January! And Lee is in on it too! I've uploaded pictures twice this week from our point and shoot and found his perspective on the day as well.

Here's an example of something simple that is special to us..

One of our favorite wintertime lunches is roasted red pepper and tomato soup with grilled cheese. Publix bakery thin sliced Chicago Italian loaf is the BEST for these sandwiches! Here's the sandwich maker we always use. This shot is from after lunch.. I clean off all the gooey little cheese bits before storing :) Lee and I love working at home, and taking our lunch breaks together everyday is a special memory.
